Hey guys. I just signed up for this site because I need some help with purchasing a water pump. I haven't removed the old one yet as I'm still driving it.
I have a 2012 Countryman S All4.
When I go to ECS.com or rockauto.com there are two variants. One has a black plug look on one end, while the other had a round silver portion. Both have same OEM part#. I will attach screenshots of each portion along with the links.

I am here to help. You can post up technical stuff here. Live chat is for easy and non Make very technical stuff.
Its just the way its manufactured per brand and dont really have a deference function wise. The factory ones (genuine MINI) are main body plastic and crack and fail. These two units are metal body and metal
MINI finally realized the body fails and they are now metal also, but their impellers are plastic.

Yeah but very clearly one is a plug/connector while the other is not. That to me screams "difference* function wise".
These other sections are just the way the pump is manufactured. Two different ways to hold and set the bearings. I have not really seen one outdo the other i just know geba one is made in Germany.
