Software Tune only mod for 306hp 2.0 -which one?

Warranty is done the beginning of September. I want to do one mod only this year so it has to be a tune that doesn't need other supporting mods. What have you folks done?
Thanks for any responses.

What vehicle are you starting with? I see in another of your posts that you have a 2019 Countryman S? Or did you pick up something else?

Get in touch with @Lou@Prototype-R and start a conversation about your goals.

Haven't gone with anything yet. In service date for the car is Sept 20th so I will take it in for the last sniff at warranty and mod after that. I was originally just looking at Dinan because the dealer was pushing them pretty hard but I have heard they often generate cels.

I have heard mixed reviews about the dinan piggy back box. some people have no issues others have a lot of problems with it. I have the intake and the intake resonator pipe, both from dinan, and the coil packs aswell. love the car as is, but want to look into some more mods in the future

I am starting to investigate mods myself. A tune alone can get you to over 300HP?

The B48 2.0 in the big JCW cars is 306hp out of the box but I believe thats mostly based on boost. Do you have the S or the JCW? I dont know if the 228hp JCW has the same turbos and internals as the Clubber/Countryman or the S but I was told the S motor can get to 300hp with tuning.

Thanks Nik. I did as you suggested but now it seems I have to decide in an i/c add as well.

The 300hp JCW engine is built differently than the 225hp JCW engine. No way you’re getting 300hp from the 225hp engine with only a tune. Supporting bolt on parts will be required. I imagine, however, that the 300hp JCW engines would be able to get 330-350hp pretty easily.

Thanks Nuck, I have the JCW (Pat Moss ed). So the 228HP engine. I read on Way's site his tune can get up to 40HP, that is with parts I assume. That would be a very noticeable improvement.

I went with the Dinan Stage 1 tune. Had a piggyback and a year or so ago they offered to give me the full Stage 1 tune for free if I pulled the computer / DME out and sent to them for unlocking. Did the work and have to say it makes a big difference, very drivable and good power. This tune applies to pre-LCI/Before 2020 only….below is the table for their tune, I did 93 Octane:

Nice. Unfortunately they don't have anything like this for the 2020+ Works Clubber. Some extremely expensive bench unlock is required for more than a mild tweak. Waiting for some fresh options.
