Turned the car on this morning and the speedo worked fine as I backed it out of the garage. But, the tach was dead. No lights and no movement. I turned the car off to finish loading, turned it back on and it was back.

Went to the store, parked/shopped, came back and it was dead again. Started driving and everything came back as it should after ~30s or so.

Anything to I should be checking?

 

It's dead Jim, put a new one in from the local LKQ and it worked. Plugged old one back, still dead. Put new one back in.
