R50/53 Headlights Turn Themselves on!
Headlights Turn Themselves on!
Dear Mini Enthuisiasts,
I have a Mini Cooper S 2003 that I love. However, it has developed an annoying problem that has caused a dead battery on a number of occasions : (
Specifically, when I go over a bump in the road or make a sharp turn the headlights turn on high beam, indicated by the blue headlight light on the dash. No, I am not touching the headlight arm when this happens. The only means of turning the lights off are to gently push the headlight arm away and the headlights turn off.
Has anyone else experienced this annoying snafu? Or have suggestions how to correct it.?
Yours & many thanks,
Lynda
PS. I am not terribly mechanically minded though I did replace the rear shock absorbers on my first Mini (Mini Clubman Estate) by myself, back in the day : )
