Hi there...
Just wanted to get this month's meeting thread started.

Unfortunately right now I have higher priority obligations (hard to beleive I know) that conflict with this afternoon.

So, I'd ask that another area member take the lead on planning a meeting place and activity.

 

I can't plan a drive, but Chili's by Triangle Town Center is where it's at! We will be meeting at noon, just in time for the lunch rush! I'll get there early enough to grab us a table! I'll do my best or get first available...without asking Bob because I know he wouldn't mind, would anyone be offended if the smoking section is all that is available?

If anyone wants to plan a drive, feel free. Here's the list of attendees so far:

Sad to hear you can't make it Chris. Of course, for once, I might not be there either. There's some things in the works that may prevent me from getting away from the store. I'll have to wait a bit before I get a go ahead or not.

On the other side of the coin, seafood's not on my list of edibles. If Kemp's offers something other than that, I can try it though.

 

Bummer!!!! Hmmmm....well that just stinks! If enough people want to come, I can figure something out...seafood out of the question then Bob if you can make it!

Anyone else coming?? If so, lemme know and I can work on a place, can't do a drive, but I can at least get us somewhere to eat! I should be able to fiugre out a place in between getting hte picnic done!

Like I said, if the seafood place offers burgers or steaks or something similar, I'll be fine.

 

I've never eaten there, so I can't honestly say what they will have! I'll look for something else! Who knows, maybe we'll have a Meet and Greet at my house! I'll fix a big pot of chili!!!

I'd like to go.. i'm coming from just north of Fayetteville.. but I'm starting to get to know the triangle area pretty well (btw, what does the triad include?? I keep hearing about it)
I found another mini person down in my area, so I'll see if she'll come too..

The triad is the Winston-Salem/Greensboro Area...same area where the picnic will be. Okay...working on food now...no seafood! =) Hmmmm....this cold is limiting my ability to think...still have some time to figure out something!

Sorry, I can't make it to your picnic.. We'll be coming back from our long awaited honeymoon late on the 22nd.. soo probably won't want to travel again for a little while..

We can do Mexican, or we can figure on something like Chili's that has a mix of everything.

I'm thinking Chili's may be the best bet!!!! So looks like Chili's is where we are eating, and like I said, I won't be doing a drive, but we all can meet and mingle. Haven't heard from anyone else, so hmmm...who else is coming???

You're coming up from Fayetteville...know of any Chili's in route?? If not, I'm sorta leaning to the one by Triangle Town Center Mall.

I know I'm not Bob, but I've got some time on my hands.. chilis.com says:

there's one in cary and one in garner

that triangle town center one doesn't look too hard to find, if you'd like to stick with that one..

 

I'm just trying to figure out where everyone is coming from. If it's just you and Bob, then I'll shoot for the Garner one. No one else, except you, Bob and myself are coming. I don't know if there'll be much to discuss, but I can talk about my picnic!

 

There may be a few others to show up. Either Chili's you're talking about would be fine with me.

 

Hey Everybody! Sorry not to chime in earlier, but I'll be able to make it.

Why don't we do the Chili's at Triangle Town Center? It's a jump right off 540. Take 540 all the way down to Triangle Boulevard get off the ramp and go to the right and then go through the red light and you'll take the first entrance into the mall, and go to the right. Follow it around and Chili's is in the back on the right. It's not connected to the mall at all! :smile:

for those of you coming in from Fayetteville, ummm...I know Bob comes up 401...Hmmmm....lemme think about this one! Trying to figure out the best way to get you there!

isn't it near the beltline?? i remember that exit name - Capital something or hwy 1, isn't it??

 

Yeah, you would take 440 to Capital Boulevard. Not sure which way you would be coming, but all I can say is don't head towards downtown!


You would take Capital Blvd. all the way down and you should see the mall on your right, right at a light...not sure the name of the road, but I will be able to tell you about it later, on Friday when I get my hair cut...you will take that right and then turn left into the mall, and then make another left, and then you'll see Chili's on your left...

Considering how far 440 loops out I'll probably just cut straight through town and out the other side. It's stop and go, but it seems just as fast as going around the beltline and it gives me a chance to play with the gears!

 

YAY!!! Playing with gears!
