Out the door at 6 a.m. this morning and 4 hrs. and 30 min. later, met Juston at his bank, loaded #0092 in the trailer and just arrived home. Took it for a spin around the block, then put her to bed with lots of company. SO glad I won her! BTW, Juston forgot to mention, he installed a sweet, single mass flywheel. It wouldn't surprise me to find other neat things he did but forgot to list. He had the trunk loaded with all the spare bits and parts he took off. Turns out, our paths undoubtedly crossed years ago, since he, too was a BMW CCA instructor back when we were running at Rockingham and Roebling Road. We recalled a few mutual friends of "The Old Guard". I not only got a great GP, I re-connected with a kindred spirit!
A very long day but pleased that the overall experience was favorable and memorable for you in the best way!
Ah yes, BMW CCA instructors. Not me as one of those but I did partake in two "Nurburgring West" events in 1982 (Riverside International and Laguna Seca), which was a collaboration between the BMW CCA and BMW MOA clubs with pro instructors overseeing separate groups by driver/rider experience, in which I rode my suspension modded 1981 BMW R100RS. Nope, cars and motos weren't sharing the track at the same time! Oh where have the decades gone???

I was fortunate to have participated in one of the early BMW(no space)CCA/MOA/International Council of BMW Clubs Nurburgring 3-day schools. Sensory overload! Something like trying to memorize 4 VIR Full Courses in 3 days!
It's been a busy couple of months. My rationale in purchasing #0092 was to give #1772 back to my wife since she "loaned" it to me after I sold my '05 MCS. I've taken all the track-oriented items off it and installed them on #0092 and returned #1772 to more-or-less stock configuration. Since I changed the pulley from a 17% to a KAVS 13%, I now have an effective 15% since the 2% ATI remains installed. This required a re-tune. Juston had a BYTETRONIX tune and, while many go that route, I preferred to go with Adrian. After purchasing the requisite hardware, we attempted to tune the ECU and found that BYTETRONIX locks out anyone but them from modifying the tune. Enter our own Mr. Blah who saved the day by supplying one of his GP1 ECU's. Since the software downloads were already on my laptop, Adrian was able to perform the tune in less than an hour. My experience with him was the same as everyone else...Excellent! A quick test drive felt great. My next HPDE at VIR in September will give me ample opportunity to evaluate all the changes made in the course of the transformation. So far, so good!
