I've had the motor and transmission out of the car for several months... This part was stored with the clutch and flywheel, but I'm pretty sure that's not where it belongs. Anyone recognize this and can point me to where it goes?
That would be the "sleeve" that slides under the transmission/gearbox mount on the driver side of the Mini. It's been a while, but IIRCC that piece/"cradle" slides underneath the support bracket (#1) between the two flat bushing (#3) that flank the bracket.
