Window Anti-Pinch/Comfort Closing Broken
Window Anti-Pinch/Comfort Closing Broken
My R60 recently developed a rather weird problem a few days ago. Only one of my windows (rear right) has an issue where I can roll it down without an issue but I need to hold the switch in order to roll it up. And whenever it fully reaches the top, it rolls itself down half way down. This is very annoying as I'm unable to fix this with whatever guide I followed, even from the official BMW service manuals. I tried to hold the switch down for 15 seconds after the window was at the bottom and up for 15 seconds after the window was at the top for 15 seconds. This seemed to initially fix the anti-pinch mechanism but only for one time and the comfort closing never came back. I then tried disconnecting the window motor fuse and doing the same process as I read that would "clear" the initialization. In the end, nothing I tried worked, maybe because I couldn't find any forums pertaining to a countryman. I've read on here that I might need to perform an FRM reflash, so would my only option be risking tinkering with my car's electronics or getting scammed by a dealer? The car is also the pre-2012 facelift model so it has the window buttons in the instrument panel below the climate controls if that helps at all.
