Finally have determined that I need a new gearbox. Not sure what happened (I have a long thread on it), but am fairly convinced this is the next step. Found a heck of a deal on 2 different transmissions but they are at a yard a couple hours away (super reputable). One has only 57k miles on it. I am fairly positive the manual transmission in this donor will fit in mine, but wanted to be sure before I went all the way out there.

I have a 2011 Base MT and the donor would be a 2014 Roadster Base, obviously also MT I have found a few places confirming fitment, but wanted to run this buy the experts here. Thanks!

a 2014 is not an R56 mini like yours. Get the vin from the donor vehicle and to go realoem.com. See if the transmission part number matches yours.

 

Good suggestion. Had forgotten about the site. I was able to confirm other ways, but for posterity, it does fit the 2014 R59.



Was only $260 US for 57k miles. Had I know this, this is basically a "why not" cost, and I would have had to take everything apart 2 times!
