My my wastegate is shot and I'd rather just get a new exhaust housing with a new wastegate.
but my question is are the exhaust housings from an S and a jcw interchangeable??
I know compressors are different but exhaust side might be the same hopefully..
Also can anyone point me in the direction where to purchase a new exhaust housing then too for my 2011 n14 jcw

 

If it were me, I would mess around trying to rebuild my existing turbo. I would either get a new JCW turbo:

no way , thats absolutely not happening when i can get a Chinese PROVEN to work and work well even under EXTREME limits. So if i got 30kmikes out of it id be happy... i probably will be grabbing this turbo
And my turbo only needs a wastegate... I'd rebuild my turbo befor I spent 1400 for another one..lol 1400 that's just robbery..

Its an official Borg Warner turbo. Borg Warner made the OEM turbos for Mini. Better quality materials, and better tolerances. Its a case of "you get what you pay for" kind of thing.

 

Both JCW and S use the same exhaust housing. I recently replaced the turbo cartridge on my N14 JCW and while at it, I replaced flapper in housing.

While changing the flapper, I found that bushing was in good shape, and the wear was on the flapper shaft. Easy fix.
I believe JMTC offers aftermarket exhaust housings.
