Extra Set of Tire Pressure Sensors?

Greetings!

As the owner of a 2022 Mini Countryman S All4, I'm looking for an extra set of tire pressure sensors that would be compatible with my vehicle. I have an extra set of rims that I want to put winter tires on and my Mini dealer quoted me $200 per sensor. Checking on the Internet, I believe the frequency is 433 but I am not sure whether aftermarket sensors will work. Some descriptions also state that the sensors are programmable but I have no clue how to program to be compatible with an F60.

Question: Can anyone direct me to a place that I cold order 4 tire pressure monitoring sensors that could be used for my vehicle? Sincerely appreciate your input and guidance.

Hi! Saw your question on another forum...might as well answer it here, too! Continental sensors sold by ECS Tuning work great. No coding required. I just bought an extra one for a spare wheel. 79.00 when not on sale, if I recall correctly.

Check ebay
I bought a genuine bmw sensor for less than £30. No need to programme just relearn through car interface. Most on ebay will say if they are preprogrammed or not

Tirerack has them for $38 - $40 each, or you can just get them on eBay, which is what I do now. WAY WAY cheaper and I've never had any problems with them. I just use to tirerack to make sure I get the right mhz for my year and model.

I bought OEM ones once, but it was hard finding a tire shop to install them. The first few shops I called weren't too keen on customers bringing in their own parts.

Since then I've just used the cheap ones they have at Discount Tire. No issues whatsoever.

Here in Canada MINIs use the wheel speed sensors as part of a "flat tire monitoring system". Works fine and even my wife's luxo-boat Audi Q7 and my TTS use them. The old systems used to tell you just to check your tires to find which one was below minimum pressure, but the newer systems will tell you which corner is the culprit. Best thing is I don't have to worry anymore about sourcing and reprogramming TPMS when I buy winter tires.
