03 S HK system replacement issues..need some guidance
Okay...so I'm in a bit of a pickle. I bought an 03 S with hk system. The system worked, but the speakers were completely shot. I decided I wanted to upgrade the head unit to allow for navigation via android auto..since the speakers were bad, I installed new speakers mated up to an aftermarket amp. Hk amp is now bypassed.
Here's my issue. Wiring up the radio has not gone well. I bought 2 different harnesses, one without swc interface from Crutchfield, one with an interface from a Spiral Audio. Neither harness when wired up will power the head unit. If I connect the factory radio to the factory harness, it powers up. I'm not sure if the colors of the wiring on the harness adapter are incorrect, and im not actually getting power to the constant on(yellow) or ACC(red) wires..or if something isn't connected that should be connected. One thing that is odd about both aftermarket harnesses is there are 3 brown wires coming off of it that I have nowhere to connect them to. I've done many radio installs over the years, and I dont know what's going on.
Has anyone run into this before? And does anyone have a pin out drawing of the factory harness? My hypothesis is that the wrong color wires are in the wrong place on the aftermarket harness but I can't see how 2 separate harnesses would have the same issue. Even just connecting my Amp's remote wire to the ACC wire doesn't power up the amp...so I'm definitely not getting power past the factory harness plug. I did find power on that plug, but not on the other side of the aftermarket plug. Really weird.

Should have done what I did. I replaced it all (was tired of failing HK amps). I went with JBL speakers all around and JBL DSP 8 ch. amp (small fits in same place as HK amp did), all speakers are 2ohm also so no wiring needed to be replaced replaced head unit with Kenwood media player. Total cost for all...~$650 and no headaches.
