so, I get this F-56 few years back. no spare anything. I get rim, tire, 4-way lug wrench, scissors jack, I recently got a tow eye-hook. was that included in the original spare kit ? some meathead decided he liked my bow eye-hook cover better'n me & it was gone I guess. Ever hear of one of these covers just falling off ?

 

Tow eye-hook is part of the original spare kit, yes. Cover just falling off, no, but it's possible. It's not strongly secured. I can see it getting jostled out of position and the little plastic filament that holds it in place getting brittle due to age/wear/whatever.

couple days back I hit a bump in road that about knocked my teeth out on rt. front. side, think I'll go for a ride & look. man. date on ride was 7/14 making it 9 yr.s & 4 mo.s old.

 

I walked the section of road where I hit the monster bump, No Luck. So Now, I gotta replace, paint, seal a new one. Paint & sealer - no problem. It won't be a perfect match due to age but that's the way it goes. I am curious as to who's got the cheapest tow-hole cover or who has one at all ! the car looks funny with the eye-hook stickin' out. (gotta use the hole for sumthin.
