During engine reassembly I broke the plastic crossover water pipe. When I tried to remove the crossover pipe, I pulled on a couple of wires to get a wire routing clip to come off of the crossover pipe attachment holes. In yanking on wires impatiently, I might've disconnected this connector, and I have no idea where is goes. It's in the vicinity of where the crossover water pipe goes into the water pump. I can't find anything in the area for this connector to plug into. Just below this mystery connector, not pictured, is the wires for the oil pressure switch, has a little plastic clip on the block to hold it. Definitely not supposed to plug into the intake manifold, all sockets there are accounted for. I don't think I'm missing any wire harness that comes over here and would plug into it... I've been over, under the car, borescope, mirrors, etc, I'm at a loss. Not to a sensor on the charge pipe coming into the intake. I mean, I guess it's possible it doesn't go to anything, but it doesn't look like it has 10 years of road grime from not being plugged in either... Picture shows connector needing ID. Also circled is the christmas tree style wire routing attachment that I pulled out of the water pipe attachment point. Area circle is me pulling on the wires to the mystery connector. Orange and yellow, the wires come out of the plastic tray that runs along the fuel rail.
Moderators, I can't figure out how to delete posts. I think this one can go. I believe the connector goes to nothing.
I think it originally went to the oil pressure switch in the oil sump. I've seen in other threads and videos about a past problem where oil could wick up the sensor lines, get into the harness, and burnout an ECU. From the videos I've seen on doing that repair, I think mine had been repaired and another sensor connector was ran over to the aforementioned oil switch, rendering the old plug useless.
I could be wrong, as I'm still getting the rest of the car back together. But I'm maybe 80% confident I won't get a code for not plugging it in.
