Vanos adaptations after timing chain install?

Does anyone know if you must reset the Vanos adaptations after you change the timing chain? Not sure if you do and if you do, is that model specific? I have a 2014 Countryman S.

After I did mine I did not. A bit later in the same day I did. Couldn't tell a difference.

Are you still having troubles after finding the magnet on the camshaft?
