I installed dash cam with hardwire tool today but I couldn't finish it because I don't know which fuse I have to pull out and use it for dash cam. I pulled out cigarette jack fuse and it worked fine but the thing was that I couldn't close the fuse cover because fuse connector was too big so I might have to choose smaller fuse so I can use smaller fuse connector. I'm not really sure which one I have to use. Please help.

 

Depending on how many wires you have to connect (red, yellow, and black). The following is what someone else used on their MINI.

I wired the ACC wire to Fuse 44, then the Constant 12+ wire to Fuse 7. and the ground I wired to a large 13mm bolt on the passenger dash side.

 

If I wired fuse tap to fuse 44 (cigarette jack), the fuse cover won't be able to close since fuse tap is pretty thick.

 

I used the LittelFuse Add-A-Circuit fuse holder. It's angled at 90 degrees, so cover closes just fine. Here is the picture of one of them:
