I saw this on Ebay and said WTF? I'm new to Mini as of May04 but I thought it looked like a fake. Is it real?

It's real. There are a couple of these at my local MINI dealer. They're a bit dented up, though. I really want one, too.

That is very cool, not sure about the $26 price tag though.

Ok-Ok I'm out! I have my limits and if I bend them....anyway part of the thrill of the find is seeing what a bargin I can get and that's not much of a bargin to me at this point! I expect that the bidding could go even higher as the Motoring ***** have gone for $100+ and I will agree that this is a rare find...oh well...maybe another time

Me too I'm out but it's still on my watch list

I'm with you annes, I like to find them, try to get them, cheap, and then watch what they'll go for

Good luck to Tuls and I hope there are no Snipers out there, I hate them

Congratulations to Peter!!!(who won the auction)

Has anyone else been able to track down one of these with their dealer? I checked with MINIUSA and they told me that there were no more...I'm still doubting that...

Peter, is it cool? Are you glad you got it? Congrats again!!

Hasn't arrived yet. Truth be told I was a bit worried about this seller. I emailed him inquiring about the condition. I received no reply. Since I've never seen one of these anywhere else I held my nose and bid.

After the auction close...no communication. I think it was Tuesday before I heard from him telling me he was sending it out.

So...I'm just hoping it's decent. If not..bad feedback for him.. which I don't think I've ever left before.

Peter...spec'ing a glass case..in Denver

I wish you luck Peter! I know that ebay is a risk-let's hope he is a decent seller!

I'll be anxious to hear about it when you get it. I have, like James, seen one up close at my dealers but it wasn't for sale...so...I'll have to keep looking!!!!!

Well..that's why I spent a fair bit more than common sense would have dictated. A good friend once said.."you never regret what you buy..you only regret what you don't"

Peter...who never thought he's be so stoked about an empty beer can..in Denver

Well..I now have a very expensive empty beer can. But it's darn cool!

The condition is very good save for a roughness along part of the top lip.

Thanks for the photos,Peter!! The "can" looks great!! And your snow globes and motoring ball!! I agree with your thoughts about only regreting what you didn't get....I'm regreting it! I'm jealous!!! But I really am glad that you were able to purchase it and share it with us-thanks so much!!!

I am so pleased! A few weeks ago, I purchased the MINI beer can from Peter, via ebay. So now I hold one of the coveted holy grails of MINIdom!!! I have to tell you all that it is a cool item and when it's time is up with me, I promise to pass it along to a MINI owner!!

Now I'm going to have to get a bigger suitcase to hold all my MINI goodies!!!!
