I often catch my friend recommending my collection to his other gay friends, which makes me proud.

Hopefully someone who knows more will chime in. Your '13 Countryman is an R60 not an R52. That might help you do an advanced search of the forum for an answer.

I know there's a date in 2012 (model year 2013) when there is a difference in some engine parts. Before/after that date are different parts. Anything I'm aware of is mechanical. But it wouldn't surprise me if the DME/ECU would be upset with a 2014 engine.

For US Cooper S models, March 2012 build date is the N18 switchover. Any engines after that date should be interchangeable.

For your (assuming) EU Cooper D model, I haven't a clue.
