Just purchased a used 2017 Clubman S. Has 35k miles and I’m really happy with it. Traded my 2012 R56, 85k.
Im reading up on it in this Forum. First thing I was considering was upgrading the software in the car. But I’m wondering if maybe keeping an old version is better?
Also the PO must have removed the crossbars from the roof rack rails. Is there a good quality after market systems that will adapt to the factory black rails? I’d like to be able to put my kayak up there, and it’s pretty heavy.
The previous owner may have never purchased any roof rack crossbars.
Thule and Yakima both make bars that fit the MINI, plus there are OEM ones obviously. I've only ever used the OEM ones, but if I could do it again I'd get something aftermarket since they are lower profile (i.e. quieter) and come in black.
