Can I connect to ANY ground point?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the process of retrofitting rear PDC to my F56.

The instructions for the official retrofit kit say to ground the wiring harness to a ground point below the front right seat.

Unfortunately, the instructions were written for left-hand drive cars, and I've got a right-hand drive car which is missing the ground point under the seat.

There is a ground point just below the OBD port in the footwell.

My question is, can I use any ground point in the car - or does it need to be the ground point mentioned in the instructions?

Many thanks!

Any ground point is probably fine, just make sure it’s a clean point
