I too am watching that auction with interest and amazement for overall condition for total mileage. Clearly, used pretty much as a daily since new but still appreciated for the special vehicle that it was/is.
As to those JCW "red" springs, I've posted specifics a few times previously but will again since it's topical and perhaps of interest. When I explored availability 2 yrs ago (July 2021) for my R53, I don't believe those P/Ns were then listed on ECS's website nor also on WMW's (Way likewise thought NLA as stated in personal email). It was only through correspondence directly with Anthony at BMW Parts Hub (BMW of West Chester PA) that he determined one of each spring P/N fitment of three P/Ns originally offered front and rear for the dealer-installed JCW Suspension Kit remained available in BMW Germany warehouse locations. So, I ordered those as shown in the cart screenshot with Anthony's reply quoted below for context. Also noting, prices shown have obviously gone up since then. Although I'm not certain which P/Ns were standard fitment on the 2006 GP, perhaps same as what I subsequently installed, i.e. mine being lightly optioned as was the GP.
Anthony's 20July2021 message: "The part numbers you have provided are available directly from Germany. The fronts are showing 93 sets and the rears are showing over three hundred. They are showing available to order. I did check the other part numbers, You are correct that these are the only option springs available anymore."
The rear shock for the GP1 is now nla. :( I guess you could do a B4 Bilstein shock as its the closest in design and looks, i dont have any dampening calculation for the rear. My guess based off my knowledge of the car and the systems is that the shock was tuned/set more aggressive then the stock B4 shock. But maybe not as much as a B6 or B8 Bilstein as MINI does not go too aggressive on the ride for stock suspension. The only car they went aggressive on is the GP2 with factory Bilstein Coilovers in B14 version that were tuned on the Nürburgring by Bilstein and MINI engineers. I talked to Bilstein direct about this. We are close with our vendors more then most people.
