F55/F56 Anyone have access to or have an old F56 S/JCW radiator?
Anyone have access to or have an old F56 S/JCW radiator?
I am curious if any of the readers have a radiator from a F56 S or JCW car (or the ability to measure one for me).
I need several dimensions (inches are fine, mm is better):
- overall height
- overall width
- overall depth
- core (the finned area) height
- core width
- core depth (putting a wire through the core and measuring)
- diameter and locations of inlet and outlet
- angle of inlet and outlet
- dimensions to locate top mounting points
I am having a custom all-aluminum 2 core radiator fabricated for the car. The one in my car is warped and still in the car so it makes it difficult to get accurate dimensions. Any help is greatly appreciated and for the amazing person who helps me, I will find a way to do something for you, for your time and efforts.

Based on how complex the end tanks and mounting arrangements look, I can’t imagine this will be in inexpensive endeavor…

Isn’t the core already aluminum? What are the high power race cars using for radiators?

I am more or less building a street-legal race car, my setup will be different than stock. I just need to document the stock setup so I can plan a proper custom part. It’s not about cost, it’s about HP target!
