i own a 2011 mini cooper clubman that has a n18 engine in it. it was recently involved in a front end collision. I have replaced the plastic radiator support along with the radiator and condenser. while the car was apart i also replaced the belt tensioner. after the car was put back together the coolant was bled and had no lights come on the dash. took it for a spin and realized the fan had not kicked on. replaced the fan and fan still will not turn on even at idle with ac on full blast. does anyone have any recommendations or trouble shooting ideas?

 

That system still needs to be bled some more the fan is going to take a while to kick on......... Turn the heat on high to kick
the fan on....

 

Had to take it to a local shop. They just had to plug in a computer and it was fixed. Thanks Syncro Car Care!!

 

What was the issue?

 

The way they described it to me was they had to plug in a computer to turn the fan on manually. So I assume kinda like the battery when you replace it the car has to be told so otherwise it won’t work properly.
