R57 Battery died after a long drive
Battery died after a long drive
I have a 2010 Mini and after a 20 minute drive I parked for 15 minutes and upon attempting to start, found my battery died. It was jumped and promptly started but when I parked in my garage it had enough juice to start but the SERVICE 'icon' appeared in the little window.
Would the dead battery cause the icon to appear? I don't have any extra wires to the battery terminals so I'm assuming it's an swap.

Yes, battery has a bad cell or your alternator is bad.
The extra wire is for the IBS.
