I changed the vacuum lines to silicone the other day and since doing so my car looses power, cuts boost, and does "raspberry style popping". If I slowly accelerate the car acts fine but if I gain any boost quickly then it starts this issue. The idle seems fine but the exhaust sound is slightly different and less aggressive then normal.
I have checked all vacuum lines again, double zip tied ends, decoked the intake valves, cleaned the intake manifold out, used MAF cleaner on all relevant sensors, swapped alta spring+spacer out for DV+, double clamped intercooler hoses, cleaned/checked all spark plugs and wires. I cannot figure this out for the life of me.
My ultraguage says it receives a P1288 code here and there but no codes are found when looking for them to clear, only when driving. This problem happened before and during all the mentioned things I've tried.
Is it possible that one of the silicone lines is collapsing? They are pretty soft and have been known to collapse.
I did question this but the lines seem thicker and harder to squeeze than the stock lines. I did notice the thinner line is a hard line until it gets towards the turbo. Ill order some new stock lines and see if that helps...
I ended up getting 2 codes today while driving 2884 and 2B72.
