Installed a catback - now I'm not sure

So I bought a Top Speed Pro 1 catback and installed it over the weekend. The initial impression was good. It made the stock exhaust seem silent by comparison. Pulls from a stop sound insane. Good burbles - not too loud.

However the more I've been driving with it the more I'm not sure if I want to keep it. For some reason if I'm not in sport mode, there is almost no low end torque and it drones like crazy. Staying in sport mode, it's okay - at least at cruising speed. It is pretty drone-y (not vibration wise but just the sound itself) at highway speeds.

So I have a few options.

1. Undo all the work and put my stock exhaust back on. Return the catback.
2. Cut my stock exhaust, remove the muffler from the mid pipe, and then use the axle back from the catback I bought on the stock midpipe. However I'm not sure if this would actually get me to a middle ground that I'm looking for.
3. Find a way to "silence" the catback.

anyone have similar experience and a recommendation on what I should do?
