Has anyone fitted a LEAP Works Eolian Intake or MU2 / MU3 Scoop on your F56? Thoughts? Review?
I'm in TX and like the idea of getting fresh "cold" air pushed into the factory box without having to replace the whole box/filter/MAF housing.
TIA!
We are adding more here, hang tight more stuff coming soon... He makes good stuff and is a MINI Cooper enthusiast. All made by hand and his personal design.
Thanks @ECSTuning ! That helps. I searched "LEAP" on your site with my car selected, and only a handful of things popped in the results. Only one for the F56 being the MU2. I should have searched by brand.
These aren't sealed correct? I know the Eventuri has rubber seals where the scoop meets the intake, but this doesn't show that.
They also mention on the LEAP.Works site that the MU3 works with the Eolian, but they don't mention the MU2 works with it. Any differences in function between the MU2 and MU3? Or simply visual? Is the MU3 a bit larger?
Im personally not a fan of that shape of hood scoop I think it looks weird, but I am in favor of the scoop being functional and the intake ducting with the openings.
My best guess is that a functional air scoop would cause drag by creating an air bubble inside the engine bay. This of course taking the factory intake system into consideration (which pulls air from the grille).
This could be remedied by modifying the fender flares (where the turn indicators are) to allow air to escape.
Let me check, when you search your car and select brand, let the brand name take a second to populate then click that brand. Then it will show everything. I think you are searching too quick and its not populating the brand.
Possible, since its comes so close to the same design location. Currently his dont intake duct does not include a gasket. He said he can work on one for the future.
But i have seen the eventuri and the gasket just looks like a higher temp rubber seal with a U shaped edge thats on a 90 degree from the rubber flange,. Like something you can get at a local parts store or Fastenal. Thats what i would do.
