On my 2011 Clubman S I used to be able to get into the "hidden" menu that showed things like battery voltage, engine temp, etc. To do this I would hold down the right button on teh tach until the VIN came up, then hold it again, go to #19, enter the sum of the last 6 digits of the vIN and then things would be open for me.

On my new 2012 Clubman S with the navigation this doesn't work. When I push and hold the button when the VIN is displayed it just returns to the main menu.

is this one different? what do I do?

 

Your previous process should work, although you need to add up the last 5 of your VIN, not the last 6.
