Greetings to all the Mini owners and fans around the world from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am now 75 years old and just getting around to owning my first Mini. I have more things to learn about them and less to offer in the way of support at this point. I have had 60+ vehicles over my driving career including muscle cars, Corvettes, Lotus Cortinas, Jeeps...you name it and I have probably had it. I am well versed in C3 Corvettes and I manage a very popular C3 website. I do have to say that this MIni I have is one of the most fun cars to drive that I have ever owned. The more I drive it, the more I learn about it and believe me I still have lots to learn. The Mini I have is a 2011 Cooper S. Pickup day was Feb 6/23 Dealer installed new wheels, tires, brake rotors, calipers and pads before pickup. Miss Cooper's sassy rear.
Wow, very nice. We have two 2012 Copper S's here, Sackville area since 2013. First winter I used it in the snow and found it almost as good as my Grand Cherokee. But since then it has sat inside all winters as it's too much fun in the summer. Enjoy !

Hi Jack. I guess we are only a few km apart as I live in West Bedford right off Larry Uteck. I love these little rockets abut I am finding some quirky little annoying things. Right now I am trying to troubleshoot the tailgate open warning light and the annoying beep. The light will not go out. I have ordered a new latch assembly and hoping that will correct it. Cheers. Binnie
Kentville here. 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman, but "just" an N12 with a 6 speed:
Wife's summer car, but I have been know to slip it into a plain brown paper bag and sneak out the back door on a sunny Sunday morning for a little hot lapping on country back roads.
Just finished doing a timing chain and valve seals. Fun little cars, but they sure have more than their fair share of "issues".....I hope you still have some warranty left on that little "S" or it can get really expensive, really fast.
I spent roughly 1800 cad on parts to do the work (also did a few more things like belts, acc drive wheels, hoses, etc). Part of that cost was some special tools that you need to work on the N12 engine. I don't even want to think of what Halifax Mini would have charged me to do those jobs.....would top 5G no doubt....

I agree, they are fun cars. I haven't had to do too much to this one other than work out a few quirks here and there. I did replace the front strut assemblies as I wanted more road clearance. The car has the sport suspension and I went with the non sport replacement and I am pleased with the extra clearance. I will be on the watch for your car as we are down at Fox Mountain for the season. We live in the city during the winter and here in the valley for the summer. We lived in Kentville for 20 years. Oh and I bought the Foxwell Scan tool for the MIni so if you need to reset anything or read any codes just message me.
Welcome Mini Bini - watch out. One turns to two very quickly We are akin and aligned on our car pasts - 60s muscle, jeeps, sports. Plus most of my life was in the snow too ( Maine, Wisconsin and Minnesota before I migrated south )
