I don't think that's what Sir Alec had in mind but look back thru and see what monstrosities have been re-designed by individuals and this is pretty tame compared.

 

I actually highly debated doing a build just like this and was going to go rallycar look but didnt.
I actually really like the looks of these.
I looked into the availability of partd for the build and surprisingly theres a decent aftermarket todo so.

 

This one has been bouncing around for a while now. I believe it's out there on YouTube. You have to admire the initiative. It's in snowy Colorado so it makes perfect sense. I like it.

 

Came across a picture of a Porsche Boxster done up for serious off roading. Like the MINI I like the look. Not something I'd drive to work or the grocery store but if I was into off roading Hell yeah...

Oh, my earliest driving experience was on motorcycles intended for both street and trail. I drove nearly as much on dirt as I did on pavement. Guess I'm still attracted to the possibility of the promise of some off road driving.

 

It doesn't look as bad as I would imagine. But an "offroad" FWD car is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

 

Sold for $10.5k. Good price if you wanted it.
