I have my cylinder head off, got my pistons with new rings I stalled. I’m rotating the crank through the driver front wheel to turn the crank so I can tighten my rod caps.


suddenly, my crank stops moving while hub is being rotated. Both axles are turning but not the crank. There was never a noice or thud while rotating that indicated something broke in what’s connecting the crank to the transmission. I have been rotating it by hand through the wheel becausemy crank bolt is removed and is easier than moving flywheel itself. Whole time car is in 6th gear to easier turn wheel. Just don’t know why it suddenly stoped moving the crank right after I got my last to pistons Installed completely with their caps.


I am able to move the flywheel with a flathead and it will turn the crank but not the wheels while in 6th gear? Did I break something.



Only trying to rotate engine after my last 2 pistons were installed to then be able to fit my locking tool into the flywheel and put my engine back together
