Jcw steering wheel

Has anyone changed out the factory Cooper S steering wheel for a JCW or JCW Pro wheel? Are the wheels the same diameter and thickness? Im looking for one that is either thinner or has more padding

I recently replaced the Sports leather steering wheel in my 2017 F55 S with a JCW steering wheel pulled from a 2019 F54. The JCW steering wheel feels slightly thicker. I am guessing it's because of the leather material and the red stitching. If there is any extra padding, I can't feel it. It's not softer if that's what you are looking for.

I like the red stitching and the perforated leather. I did it also for the paddle shift. The leather of the new steering wheel is more textured and the color is lighter. It probably matches better with the dashboard. But I prefer smoother leather and darker color of the old Sports leather steering wheel. I got the JCW steering wheel on ebay from Europe. So I am not sure if it's the same part used in the North America models.

Yes softer or a little give is what im looking for. The steering wheel is fine for a couple of hours of driving but last weekend I drove it across the state for 7 hrs and my hands were worn out at the end of the trip.

If you want a thicker wheel/better feeling wheel I have the ECS CF/Alcantara in my R58 JCW and love it. Its contoured for your hand also. None of the factory wheels are like that. The red stitching is a near perfect match to the red JCW stitching on the interior of my MINI

We have F56 versions here, we ever have forged carbon. We have them on sale right now and free ship.

I would get the leather if you want thicker and soft.
