Who needs some Xenon 04 headlights?
Who needs some Xenon 04 headlights?
Who is in the market for some 04 Xenon headlight?
I am thinking of getting hte 05 upgrade kit but need a buyer for my 04 Xenons which had 3M applied to protect them since day 2 of me owning the car.
I would like to get 450$ + shipping for them and you get everything that the 05 kit replaces.
Email me @ aniederfahrenhorst DOT cogeco.ca
Thanks,
Alex

Like i said over on teammightyminiz, im interested, but want to know what im getting
For the retro, you need the auto-level computer, the auto level suspension monitors, the new fluid resevoir, a new pump, the tubing to run from the resevoir to the headlights...so if it comes with those things, or atleast most of those things, i would be interested

The 05 headlights look different...so some people are trading up since they like the new look better

Yah...but the pre-2005 retrofit guide on his site is not complete...it does not include many of the things needed to install the auto-levelling system....it mostly just details installing the cleaner system
It looks as though the 2005 retrofit kit does not include the autoleveling sensors to be added onto the front and rear suspension, and does not include any of the stuff included in the cleaning system. The cleaning system would only cost you around $50 i think including the pump, resevoir and piping. The sensors (i forget their name, but its odd) will be the pricey part, and then of course the headlights which are for sale on this thread which are $450 which will come with his used ZKE module since he needs to replace it

Are you certain MINI has an auto leveling system? The reason I ask is because I have driven BMWs and Mercedes with auto levelers and could tell when the lights were being adjusted by the system. I recently had an MC40 to drive for 4 days and never noticed the lights move.
As for the completeness of the .pdf; you have to start somewhere...

Yah...you definitely have to start somewhere and that is a great place
...i just wanted people to know that there was a bit more that they had to do.
I am 100% sure it has autoleveling...it's actually illegal at this point to have xenons without an auto-leveling system.
If you ever get to drive another xenon-equipped car, park it pointing at a wall and turn on your headlights, you will see as they go up and down, testing the leveling system.

It's really easy...everything is hooked up to the lights so all you have to do s unplug them....take off the whole three bolts...and swap them out...LOL
I have been wanting to do this to my GFs mini but havent had the $$ for the new ones yet...sigh...sooo we wait...but I did get her o5 bumpers!!

Tuls---you also have to change the ZKE module when you install the new '05 headlights...its not hard, but you have to change that too. Its located behind your glovebox which comes off with a few screws
