The other night my F56S started complaining that the battery was low on my keyfob. No problem, had a CR2032 handy, switched it out. Tested voltage on the old (it was indeed low at 2.92V) and the new (3.23V).

Keyfob never stopped working or showed signs of trouble and still works great. But the car keeps complaining about it anyway, even with the fob battery replaced.

Nothing in the Owner's Manual with special post-fob-battery-replacement procedures. Have read a forum post elsewhere about this going away after 2nd drive post-keyfob battery replacement. In my case, though, the car just keeps complaining.

Anyone ever run into this? Car angry, car says smash keyfob, I donna wanna

 

Did you try to hold it next to the steering column (right side) while pushing button.
Might do the trick.

 

Had not tried that, but apparently it either heard me complaining or heard you advising -- when I went out to the car just now to implement your suggestion, the fob battery complaint did not reappear.

Now if only this would work on door dings, broken light bulbs, and potholes
