Building my own Front Splitter out of Aluminum

Kept looking for a splitter that I could use for AutoX ect, and never found what I wanted!

Finally ordered a piece of 20"x72" Aluminum to build my own Splitter.

Gonna get it done in the next 2 weeks,

I am going to paint it the Same Orange of my 2019 Mini JCW,

Adding some Splitter Rods...ordered 4 of them...deciding to use 2 3 or 4???

Pics when I finish...

Here is an older pic...some changes already made...

Aluminium, huh? Is there a reason for that material choice? I wouldn’t think aluminium to be durable enough for a front splitter, especially on an auto cross course.

Is this for looks?

I cant see a spitter being effective at autoX speeds.
Its more weight.

Funny...a splitter made large enuff WILL help on an AutoX...Speeds at Over 60MPH and during cornering

I am trying to get my Mini closer to SMF Class...It weights too much but I am always in the top 3

The Start of my Momo JCW Front Splitter.
The End Edges will be turned UP
Going to Carbon Fiber Cover the Splitter and add two Carbon Fiber Wands for Strength.

This will help with front end traction without a doubt...
Next Pic will be after it is installed...
