R55 AC hose hanging down, disconnected at one end
AC hose hanging down, disconnected at one end
Bought the car knowing the AC was not working. Do not care to fix it as I prefer windows down driving.
Working on the MINI yesterday my youngest son (13) found the AC hose from the condenser going to the block where the fill connection connects was broken off. Looks like the metal piece snapped in two. He fixed it by zip tie it so it did not hit the fan or the exhausts. He did a good job without my help. Question I have is should I just cut off the hose at the other end or leave it as he fixed it? Is there anything else this could damage? As far as we know this has been hanging since we bought the car.
FJI He found this after we changed the lower O2 sensor. I work with the car on the kids so they can learn how to do these repairs.
