Interior Seat/Cargo Covers to protect from Dog Claws

I'm about to get my F56 JCW (2022, iconic trim) next month. I have a French bulldog, whom rides with me a lot in my current car (Mazdaspeed 3). The Mazda does has cloth and "leatherette" seats (I think that may be code for vinyl that looks like leather) and this has not been a huge issue, but the new mini has the chesterfield malt brown leather seats, which I don't want to have trashed by his claws.

My thought was to get a seat cover for the passenger seat and a cover for the cargo area and the back portion of the rear seats (I usually keep the seats down). I was wondering if anyone has recommendations or experience with covers that would help me out. If you got something that you thought would work well but did not, that response might help as well so I don't make the same mistake. The JCW includes the storage option so the bed in the back will be flat. Any feedback is appreciated. I would prefer to get something that is made to fit my Mini rather than something generic that fits all cars. Thanks!

For cargo covers, we have these in our CX-9 and they work great:

Sorry can't help much with front seat cover...

Thanks for the feedback. This is one of the ones I had found when I went searching a month ago, but didn't bookmark. If I'm not mistaken, these require some velcro strips to be adhered to the back of the rear seats. I'm guessing that the back of the rear leather seats are some kind of carpet in the Mini, but since I don't have it yet, I'm not sure. If it's leather there, I would hate to put sticky Velcro on them. Anyone know what the back of the rear leather seats have on them?

Those do use velco for attachment. I would be almost fully convinced the cargo area of the new Mini will be carpeted just like every other car before it. BUT, I would also wait until you get the car before ordering.

So I have been continuing to research while I await the arrival of my new Mini. Some of the companies that make the Diamond leather car mat systems make a similar product for the Mini hatch and back of rear seats. Has anyone had experience with this in particular, or more generally, the diamond leather car mats? They claim to be durable, even to pets, but I'm unsure.

Nik,

I went ahead and ordered the Canvasback for my car. I got black, as I want it to look fairly stock, and the other options (Mocha) didn't seem to match up with my Malt Brown seats very well. I found a discount code for 10% off, and they had free shipping. Was a little over $150.

I'd be interested to know about front seat covers too if you find anything. I recently ordered my wife a 2022 JCW F56 (special edition) and would like something I can cover the Dinamica seats with. Until then I'll keep searching here...

I did see those, but was uncertain of the quality. May be worth taking a chance on for the small amount of $$ they are asking.

I did not buy them so don't have an opinion. I've pretty much decided to go with a mat to cover the complete back area (even over the seat backs - with them folded down).
