F54 8 Speed Automatic (S FWD)

Hi all, new owner here and sorry of this has been posted before but I am curious about the 8 speed auto. My understanding is it’s the Aisin AWF8F35?

Was thinking about a few bolt ons, specifically something like Dinan mikes with the Dinantronic boost controller. Just looking for a bit more passing power. Curious who has a similar setup and if the 8 speed auto can handle that safely since published maximum torque is around 260 lb/ft for that transmission. Thanks!

I have the 8 speed AT on my 2020 JCW Clubman (305 hp) and it's fine.

I've got the 8 speed on my 2020 Clubman S All4. It's better than the prior version I had on my 2017 Clubman S All4, and the 2017 was a great tranny.

I've had the Dinan Sport on both cars without any issues.

I've had many high line cars with automatics -- ZF and Japanese trannies. And the horrid 9 speed on a Range Rover Evoque, which was truly a crime against humanity. Not to mention the GM hydramatics on our old 1980's era Jags, which are still smooth and slushy as they come 30+ year on.

The 8 speed, on the 2020 Clubby, with paddle shifters and Dinan Sport Tuner, in Normal and especially in Sport Mode, is, by far, the BEST auto transmission I've ever had in a vehicle. And it gets the torque to the wheels without fuss, for sure.
