My wife’s 2007 Cabrio had this little small rubber piece fall in her lap the other day. At first, she thought it was a spider, and of course, it scared the wits out of her.

Can anyone tell me what the heck this little thing is?! Is it off the top? I looked the top over and couldn’t find anything even close to resembling this little thing!

Thanks. Another question. Would the lack of one of these rubber pieces cause a sight whistle while driving? My wife says she’s hearing a whistle.

 

Yes, its a guide and also makes the top slide and seal correctly. It will rub on the guide and could jam and bust the top. I would try to get it fixed.
