2005 MINI Cooper S Convertible Roof Stuck

We got it home from the shop after sitting in our garage for years, and put the top up as we pulled on the driveway so I could give it a wash. Then afterwards, the top wouldnt go down! We did have some rat issues and they might have gotten to some wires, but it still goes to the sunroof stage. It isn’t the boot switches. After sunroof stage, nothing happens. It doesn’t unlatch one side like most other people, it doesn’t even flash a red light. I wouldn’t dare try taking it apart and fixing it myself like that guy on youtube, but I can’t think of any reason it won’t go down. One more thing to mention, both rear windows are stuck in the down position, and I can only lower passenger side window by holding unlock button on key fob. Maybe if there are window failures the top can’t go down? Please leave any tips for the roof and rear windows, having the top stuck down is way better than up and I’m desperate to not take it back to the shop!

I don’t know if I should add, when using the key fob to try and lower it I do hear a noise so at least it tries to go down, but with the button by the rear view mirror, there is no noise, no attempt, just silence.
