R55 08 no start. 55psi fuel, new AGM batt, no dropped seat, #2 misfire code
08 no start. 55psi fuel, new AGM batt, no dropped seat, #2 misfire code
Hi all - 5 days ago on wifes 1st day of work her mini had a rough idle and intermittent misfire on #2 cyl code(100k miles). Checked compression - 180 on all 4.. popped camera down and rotated to checked for dropped valve seats (none found). Checked fuel psi (55 cranking). Its like no spark is coming through. Then we put in a new AGM battery fully charged-
still no luck. Oil lever full - replaced intake gaskets and plugs 20k miles ago - they looked good and clean.. like spark isnt coming thru- is there a way to test coils? I did have power at the coils on all 4 ..
Stumped where to go next - ideas?
i did try swapping coils but soon as I popped them out for comp test car never ran after that! just cranks - huffs but not even idling!
Vid of us trying :(

When you crank over the engine several times, and then remove the spark plugs, are they dry or wet with fuel?
If dry, you're fighting a lack of fuel delivery issue.
If wet, you're fighting proper spark to ignite or over-fueling issue.

Wet - issue resolved. Took a gamble and ordered 4 new delphi coils - she fired right up! unbelievable - been running fine since. Will have to do the head next - 100k miles those valve seats are prob getting loose
