F56 - Fake sound? eh?
does the JCW 2022 that will be ordering in a few weeks have fake engine sound inside the cabin?
I hope not. Stupidest thing ever created. I have to remove it from each of my cars for the past six years.
and if it does exist, is there a method of deleting it?

alternately you can bypass in hardware. There are a couple vendors that make an audio bypass wiring harness that plugs in at the active sound module.

yes, you can disable it in software. You’ll need an inexpensive Wi-Fi or Bluetooth OBD-2 dongle and an app such as BimmerCode for your phone. (Or a windows laptop, BMW’s coding software, and an Ethernet-to-OBD-2 adapter. Cheaper but much more work to get set up.)
