Hello! Brand new owner of my very first Mini. I absolutely love this thing, with one drawback-- no Carplay. I have entered my VIN at bimmer-tech, and have been informed that I cannot activate it with a software option, and that I will need a new head unit that is Carplay capable. I have the long, skinny stereo screen and head unit "ENAVEVO". I have some questions about getting Carplay into this Cooper!

1. Has anyone installed an aftermarket head unit? Which one?
2. Is there a way to get it installed without a tech remotely activating Carplay via team-viewer?
3. Did you install it yourself, or did a car stereo tech install the head unit for you?
4. Is it possible to install a new head unit without voiding the warranty?

Any information from people who have done this is extremely appreciated. Thank you so much!
