My 2014 F56 seems to only want to cool well when it’s moving. I’ve tried a ton of research on this, and found a lot about the previous generation low speed fan relay issues. However, my understanding is that the gen 3 cooling fan is an electronically controlled variable speed fan.

The fan will indeed come on eventually, but seems to have a mind of its own as to when. I also have the (apparently) typical low blower motor speed upon starting, which eventually picks up after a few minutes of driving when cooling begins. This is a base, manual climate system.

The internets don’t have much information about this issue. Does anyone have insight? Last year I amateur re-gassed it and that did not help. I also replaced the battery today, hoping it was cutting back on systems to conserve power for a weak battery. No such luck.
