MINI USA Site, 2022 models

What a F@#ki&% mess. I tried to build a 2022 JCW Hardtop and the site is a mess.

Surprisingly, it's still better than it was before.

It is annoying and buggy, but I can still use it to configure exactly what I want/don't want. It does work but is not designed well.

I have some sympathy for them. It looks like they rebuilt the entire configurator. There are a lot of possible permutations and I can understand it taking a while to work out the bugs. But on the other hand, I can't even select black wheels without changing the car's color… And it's slow as !#$%.

I used to do web development. It's not that hard to get dependencies and combinations straight, just tedious and annoying. As long as their backend database is designed properly, the front end should be dynamic and absorb most of the changes. Oh well.

And yeah, it is slow AF.

I work for a web agency. If I had a nickel for every time that a project was underscoped and launched without enough QA…

You'd have enough nickels to fill a sock and beat them over the head with it!

I just tried, and it worked just fine. Maybe take a deep breath, and try again?
