After days and days of checking the Track My Mini website, there is finally some movement! Production started today and I now have an official VIN!
Anyone have tales of how long their deliveries took once it left the factory?

Mine is a week away and I ordered it Jan. 15. Good luck to you in getting am early delivery. My last 2 Mini's took 3 months each.
I just ordered a JCW Clubman last week. Dealer said mid-late May is likely to be shipped. Is that overly optimistic? Or should I temper my anticipation?

I have ordered 3 Mini's over the years and they all took 3 months. I would inquire about details and why their estimation and positively wack, so to speak.
I ordered in the middle of March, it should be completed on 4/20 (nice) and the only question mark is how long shipping will take to get to the dealer at this point. I'm still hopeful for an early May delivery.
Hopefully they’re on point, lots is out of their control. Port congestion is insane these days. Vessels are arriving and departing late, so the can sit at their destination for weeks before offloading. The cost per container is twice what it’s normally is so at least they aren’t passing that on, and it probably holds 4 cars each, which would be about $1000 extra per car. Sucks waiting, but nothing beats the experience of a custom build. I love your choice of color.

That's why I bought all 3 of my Minis off the lot. Back in the Gen2 Mini days you had a lot more customization options and about 80% of buyers ordered their cars. Now they come in the 3 trim levels (like most other cars) so there are way fewer options. Pick the color and trim package and you're pretty much done. But I hope your car gets delivered quickly!
If an example that I wanted existed on a lot near me, I would have gone that way. There are 2 new Clubmans for sale in my entire state (NC).
There are so few F54's, especially the JCW's. When I wrote off my 2017 F54 last November there were only 6 models in Canada. I didn't have much choice but to order 1...

We’re on the wrong side of the Atlantic for any wagons (even if you don’t consider the F54 a wagon). JCW makes it rarer. Particularly if you’re willing to pay the tab on one. Dealer said they had an available allocation for mine, whatever that means. When I bought an Audi several years back, when it left the factory it didn’t take long, and Oxford is closer to the ocean. (And there’s a website where you can track the ship your car’s on). Maybe two weeks. A few days through customs and to get it up from MD. MINI comes through NJ, so not far to eastern PA. Here’s hoping...
For consumer goods, its normally 2-3 weeks to get a vessel booked. Conditions are different because the final weight and cube are required to secure the space, so there are more variables subject to change. I presume for cars, they know the scheduled completion date for production so barring some serious delays, they would schedule the booking at the start of production so it keeps moving. They have a vested interest in getting you your car. Transit delays are out of their control (i.e. pick up at port, and delivery to port). Loading and unloading of vessels are backed up, so ports are congested. The Suez Canal didn't help much...
yeah, these may weigh a ton but they would look pretty awesome with a white roof. I guess you’d need ceramic pads to keep em clean
They are really nice and look good on the F54 but I think suit the F60 better. The wheel weight is a concern as it does really make a difference but it depends on how you plan to use your car.
