R60 Advice on OBD error
Advice on OBD error
Hi I have a countryman (r60 2014 facelift), the warning light has come on and the coded has come out as P2251 and P0130.
The cars power is not what it is usually and the revs are moving up slighly when idle.
Any suggestions on what the issue is,an oxygen sensor maybe.
Thanks

From a simple Google search: A stored code P2251 means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a negative current discrepancy in the upstream oxygen (O2) sensor for engine bank number one. ... Sensor 1 denotes the upstream (pre-cat) sensor.
P0130 is the OBD-II generic code describing an issue with the bank 1, oxygen sensor 1 (HO2S B1 S1). It indicates that the engine computer (ECM) is not detecting proper activity from the sensor. This will cause your ECM to turn a light on and change engine management strategies which will affect fuel economy
From the above, it seems clear that the pre-cat O2 sensor is likely causing both codes.
