Alta Short Shifter Adapter for using Whalen ****

Hi all,

Understand that Alta have produced the adapter for their previous short shifter to enable their short shifter to use the Whalen or stock ****,will be ordering one shortly, I will like to check whether any Mini owners here have actually bought and fitted this adapter recently and does this adapter result in any shifting height difference when comparing with the short shifter without the adapter installed?

Thank you in advance to anyone’s input.

Happy motoring…..

I talked with Alta in November and they had not released the adapter yet. They said sometime in the first part of the year. I decided to get Doug to make my Whalen **** for the Alta because the adapter will raise the **** between a 1/2'' and a whole inch. Hope that helps.

Hi all,

Appreciate all you guys inputs...
Thank you brian, understand that you have gotten some Alta short shiter's adapter, can you shoot some photo if possible to show how does the adapter looks light, does it replace the whole adjustable top stick shift part of the original alta short shifter?
Thank you.

Cheers

These are the only pics I have right now. The adapter screws in a little past the last thread of the shift rod.
