Aftermarket or OEM Battery?

Looks like my battery is starting to go. Are there any aftermarket batteries that would be better then the OEM one (like an optima or something like that) or is OEM the way to go on this? This is my daily driver, but I do enjoy overkill.

I'll be sure to get it coded after I replace the battery as well.

What ever has the better price and matches size and CCA/CA. Oem ones have a perfect fit and thats what i run for daily. Unless your tracking (lighter weight) or something else the oem will be fine. Aftermarket market ones (that fit) will save you some, depending on what the MINI dealership charges you. On my R52 Cooper the battery size was actually cheaper oem then the aftermarket one i could get.

Once you get a new battery just have it reset/coded on the computer.
