Down and dirty grip ratings
I would like some input and how people would rate in order the grip of R compounds on different surfaces like asphalt and cement. Here is a list of the tires.
1) Hoosier AS04
2) Hoosier RS04
3) Avon Comp R
4) Kumho V710
5) Kumho Escta v700
6) Kumho VictoRacer
I ran the v700's last year and am looking for some sort of refrence. I'm leaning towards the RS04 for longevity reasons since the V710's arent going to be ready in time for the start of this years season.
Will the RS04's warm up enough on a single driver car?

Keep in mind I haven't run on "R" tires in 5 years but I have for the last 6 years or so run an average of 6-7 major nationl events each year, so I'm there seeing what being run and hearing the top drivers opinions.
For autocrossing
1) Hoosier, AS04 in the past has been the best, no contest on dry concrete with Kumho's close on ashphalt or wet or cold conditions. The V700 needs to be shaved to 2-3/32 to have even a chance in the dry.
2) Only for really hot days, lots of runs, very long courses or 2 driver cars on hot days,
3) No reference, see TR's web site for thair tire tests. I think they said they are a close 3rd to the Hoosier and the 710.
4) Would seem to be the way to go to me if it's available in the best size for your needs, if the Hoosier is available in a better size get that if the extra $$$ don't bother you.
